Winter season has settled its way in! So we thought we'd inspire you with 3 different looks for your couches to get them ready and cosy for those chilly nights. So... how did we get each look?
Presenting to you the base we picked to work with...
The Bungalow Premium 3 Seater Fabric Sofa by Temple & Webster. We love this piece for its simple lines and versatility.
This sofa comes with an oversized depth and back height to provide comfortable snuggle zones, and 2 loose cushions for extra comfort.
It's natural, beige colour and light oak coloured legs makes this sofa the perfect base for any living room. It can be dressed up, or down, depending on the style, look and 'vibe' you're after.
And now for some range! We've styled this sofa in three different ways, all with their own unique voice and look.
Look One: the 'Cosy in Green' couch
Just a little FYI to start off - the colour green has been linked to greater wellbeing and mental health. Which is why we created this palette to focus around green as our core colour and then used pattern, texture, and tone for a bit of variety.
Let's break down the look
Using a darker solid as our base, we picked a lighter green in a similar velvety material with simple striped pattern to add interest. No cosy couch is complete without a throw! So we made things a bit interesting by picking a fluffy, fun cotton material and print.
Look Two: the 'Relaxed Chic' couch
This look is slightly moodier, with deeper colours and rich velvet textures. Completely styled from L&M Home this look uses mid tones to create that ultimate, cosy lounging experience - couple with a glass of red wine and your favourite romcom and you're set all winter long!
Let's break down the look
Using only two shades in this palette - charcoal and toffee, we've created a look that balances dark and light. In the darkest shade, cushions of two sizes are used to create visual depth and to allow for some flexibility over time; you could remove, or switch around the placement of the smallest cushion to mix up the look. This smaller cushion would also work perfectly well on an occasional chair to tie both the couch and this piece together.
Look Three: the 'Summer Dreaming' couch
Ok so... this design might not exactly be winter focused and instead looks ahead to the warmer months (thankfully soon to be on their way!) We've thought of fun, bright colours here to brighten up our living spaces as we brace through the cold.
Let's break down the look
With no two accessory the same, we've clashed patterns here to create a fun and bright look. Anchored with a soft lavender base cushion for every other piece to bounce off on.
These designs show that it's totally possible to update a space, room or item with only a few changes. With a good and solid big ticket item to work around, you can refresh your space easily and quickly!
