“You’re more excited to get to work if you love your office” – Fashion Illustrator, Kerrie Hess
Home office of Amy Phelan
Design Note: Art collectors and philanthropists, Amy and her husband John transformed their dark dated Aspen chalet into a light and modern art-filled home. As only the seventh woman on the 29-member Guggenheim board, it’s no surprise that feng shui to Amy is facing a large piece of art!
Home office of Tory Burch
Design Note: The home office of fashion mogul Tory Burch brims with bright colour and creative spirit! Her Manhattan home is substantial and elegant however she still manages to make her office feel inviting and relaxed with a mix of unique pieces, family photos and treasured keepsakes from her travels.
Home office of Kerrie Hess
Design Note: Renowned international fashion illustrator Kerrie Hess transformed her Queenslander home into a chic Parisian-inspired abode. “When I found this house, the walls were yellow and the flooring was orange. There were beautiful old Queenslander details in every corner and I couldn’t wait to just paint the whole place bright white, sand back the floors to the original wood and stain them a glossy dark walnut!”
Hess’s beautiful pieces are virtually on every wall, along with chic chandeliers, antique mirrors and piles of beautiful coffee table books. Although most of her work is in fashion illustration, Kerrie has always had a penchant for interiors too. “I use only brushes and watercolour now – women are still the main focus of my work, but a beautiful interior adds so much to the image.”
Home office of Waldo Fernandez
Design Note: Acclaimed interior designer Waldo Fernandez has filled his Beverly Hills residence with an enviable collection of definitive design pieces and contemporary art. Significant accents, such as this 17th century Belgian tapestry brings texture and drama into the room.
