Best Tips For Creating a Beautiful Table For a Romantic Dinner Date From Milray Park Designer Agnes Sweijer

#1 Play with layers of textures & colours

Romantic dinners don’t always have to be dinned on pressed white linen tablecloths and silver cutlery. Add some colours and textures to make it suits you and your home!

You could get your colour inspiration from one artwork in your home for example.

Pick two to three colours, combined them with the same amount of textures and play with layers – from the tablecloth to the side plate to the vases.

#2 Work with different heights

When it comes to creating a romantic table setting, flowers are a must, but it doesn’t necessarily mean red roses.

Get inspired by what’s in season! And If you are lucky enough to have your own backyard, go out and cut some branches, flowers or greenery to design your own floral creation.

Instead of creating one main centrepiece, you could also spread along the centre of the table some smaller bud vases combined with candleholders. Working with different heights will make your table feel more relaxed and inviting while creating a greater visual impact.

Whatever your preferences are, make sure your centrepiece still allows the guests to talk across the table.

#3 Add your personal touch

To give your table that ultimate romantic feeling, don’t forget to add your personal touch. It could be as simple as a beautiful handwritten menu or a vintage champagne cooler you bought on a trip together.
